Federação das Associações dos Operários de Macau(FAOM) was established in 1950. It has a total of 70 group members directly under it nowadays. It has always followed the spirit of patriotism and love for Macao, supported “One Country, Two Systems”, upheld the Basic Law, participated in the construction of the Macao Special Administration Region (SAR), and promoted social progress and economic development.
2019 was the 70th anniversary of its founding. FAOM hopes the “Patriotic Labour Movement ” photos exhibition would deepen the residents’ understanding of the Macao Patriotic Labour Movement and also their recognition of the motherland, China.
FAOM also hopes to show the society the development of the patriotic labor movement in the two decades since Macao’s return to the motherland, and the successful practice of “One Country, Two Systems” in Macao. They hope to deepen residents’ understanding of “One Country, Two Systems” and strengthen residents’ attachment and sense of identity to the country.
As offline exhibitions have made great progress in society, FAOM decided to hold the Patriotic Labour Movement Exhibition again in 2020. However, in 2020, the covid-19 is raging around the world. For the sake of public health, they decided to hold an “online virtual photo exhibition” in an unprecedented way.

Compared with traditional exhibitions, virtual exhibitions have the following advantages:
During the production of the photo exhibition, we have communicated with the person in charge of FAOM many times. A variety of visual renderings are also provided for the head of FAOM, to identify their ideal style and feelings for the virtual exhibition.
After repeated communication, combined with the theme of this patriotic labor movement, FAOM hopes to be based on simplicity and embellishment with appropriate Chinese elements, so that the entire space has a strong sense of modernity, without losing the traditional sense of Chinese style.
At the stage of collecting materials, we found that there were a total of 206 photos in this photo exhibition. The content covered six categories, “Love the country and love Macao, contribute our strength”, “Unite the workers to carry out the labor movement”, “Multilateral consultation, social harmony”, “Maintain rights and strengthen the labour union” , “Advance with the times, expand services”, “Step into the seventies, build the Bay Area”, describing the growth process of the patriotic labor movement from different aspects.
In order to better display each exhibit in the 6 exhibition halls, we designed an exhibition venue of approximately 7,000 feet with a total of more than 40 hot spots.
In the space part of the virtual exhibition, six exhibition areas are designed respectively. In the middle of the six exhibition areas, a hall is made, which can run through the six exhibition halls. At the same time, the trophies and awards were placed at the entrance.
In order to enhance the experience, you can also have a 3D interactive experience on two special exhibits in the virtual space, namely a model boat and a large vase.
