Heritage Exhibition of a Traditional Pawnshop Business

The pawnshop industry in Macau has a long history. “Tak Seng On ” was a pawn shop opened in the sixth year of the Republic of China (1917). In order to preserve the history and culture of Macao, the Cultural Affairs Bureau has repaired the “Tak Seng On ” and set up a pawnshop exhibition hall. The “Tak Seng On s” pawnshop consists of two parts: a pawnshop and a goods building. Its architectural design and interior furnishings have the basic patterns and characteristics of Chinese pawnshops in the early Republic of China.

Conclusion

This thematic online virtual visit of the four halls may be the first attempt to put the attractions on the same webpage, so that everyone can visit the Macao Historical Museum/Exhibition Hall in a targeted manner. We also assist the bureau to deploy the virtual reality locally.

All the pictures, components, databases, etc. used in the virtual tour are stored in the bureau’s server to ensure data security. There is also greater flexibility in the form, or adding or removing pavilions.

This time, the independent website VR pavilion has achieved great results. It is expected that more online virtual pavilions will be produced in the future, so that all valuable attractions or exhibitions in Macau can be more conveniently and more accessible in the form of VR. Many people see it!
